Requirements
Mideye Server follows the RADIUS standard and integrates with anything that can use RADIUS protocol.
General prerequisites¶
The integration guides assumes that the integrating system is set up in working order.
The guides do not describe how to configure the Mideye Server to accept RADIUS traffic from the integrating system, please consult the Reference Guide on how to configure a RADIUS Client.
Port openings¶
To integrate Mideye Server with a system following ports needs to be opened, depending on what system and functionality that will be used.
Standard RADIUS ports between client and Mideye Server¶
- UDP/1812 - RADIUS authentication
- UDP/1813 - if using RADIUS accounting
- UDP/3799 - for clients that support RADIUS Disconnect Message
Standard ports between Mideye Server and database¶
- TCP/3306 - if using MySQL
- TCP/1433 - if using SQL server from Microsoft
Ports between Mideye Server and user repository¶
- TCP/636 - if binding to LDAP with TLS (LDAPS)
- TCP/389 - if binding to LDAP without TLS
Mideye Server to central Mideye Switch communication¶
- Open for outgoing traffic on assigned customer specific port
Mideye Server needs to reach DNS server if:¶
- using LDAPS
- using FQDN in the Switch Configuration
- using Assisted Login with RADIUS disconnect message
