RADIUS Shared Secrets
Adding a Shared Secret to a RADIUS Client¶
To add a shared secret to a RADIUS client, follow these steps:
- Navigate to RADIUS Shared Secrets:
- In the Mideye Server web interface, go to RADIUS Settings > RADIUS Shared Secrets.
- Create New Shared Secret:
- Click Create New RADIUS Shared Secret.
Encrypted RADIUS Shared Secrets in Mideye Server 6 with Shared Databases or Clusters
Starting with Mideye Server 6, RADIUS Shared Secrets are encrypted in the Mideye Server database. For installations where multiple Mideye Servers use the same database or database cluster, refer to the Shared Database documentation to understand the implications.
Configuration Fields¶
- Source IP:
- Enter the IP address of the corresponding RADIUS client.
- To allow any source IP, enter
0.0.0.0
.
- Shared Secret:
- Enter the shared secret for the RADIUS client.
- If left blank, all RADIUS ports will accept requests from RADIUS clients without a shared secret.
- RADIUS Port:
- Optionally, associate the RADIUS client with a specific RADIUS Server / port.
